It has been so long since I remotely approached the idea to go back and start posting on my blog!!! I have a thousand excuses but all that is not important… I’m HERE, with Lisa’s and Todd’s help from Originalginger my blog has been updated, spam free and ready to go !!!
Ready, set, ACTION!!!!!
Since my last post I have been doing many and diverse things as well as a bit of traveling to home (Australia) and Portugal my Country!!!!
Work wise, the beginning of last year did a couple pilots and a feature film: Underworld: Awakening, lots of fun and blood, great to be back working with the same creative group of people from Underworld: Evolution.
Just wrapped a Disney movie called “Girl vs Monster” Olivia Holt, Kerris Dorsey, Kat McNamara to name a few of the very talented young actors.
However last year I ventured into to the world of “Reality TV”. The Real Housewives of Vancouver!!!! You might have heard of them… No???? Where have you been????!!!
With great success the women are now going into a second season. It was an experience and a learning curve for me. When I first met the women, I was taken and somehow surprised and definitely inspired by their story. I only worked on their interviews, ( with the exception of Jody, when I would do her makeup for special events) I was saved from all the controversial issues. I have a soft spot for all of them, for individual reasons. I watch the show and I’m as addicted as the others, over million viewers.RHOV watch the video!
It’s very different from working on a movie set out of the Make-up trailer, to a mobile makeup kit that I could carry without too many problems, and weight. That was my biggest challenge . The secret?????? PALETTES PALETTES PALLETS!!!!!! I’m a slow learner however…..:)
Last year also did a pilot with Melanie Griffits and Antonio Banderas. My friend Tricia Sawyer, did Melanie’s Makeup. What a beautiful person she is (Tricia)!!!! Loved meeting her. I felt very lucky to be the recipient of some of her favorite products and brushes from her make-up line. I’ve used the “powder” ever since. Finely milled loose cotton powder!!!!

I hope that by now everyone is using Argan oil as part of their beauty routine. Not sure if I’ve mentioned before to apply a small amount to the face in the morning before showering, massage it in, leave it on while showering allowing it to further moisturize as well as using it as a face cleanser!!! You’ll be pleased with the results. Let me know !!!!
